What currency should I bring to Phuket?
It is very easy to exchange most currencies here now. Plus Phuket has very many ATM Machines everywhere, where you can withdraw Thai Baht, and your account is then debited in your own currency.
Does it get cold at night in Phuket?
No, it never gets cold here. So you do not need to bring any warm clothes. Although sometimes you might need an umbrella.
What clothes should we bring with us?
As it is always warm here, most people usually only wear T-Shirts and Shorts. The dress code in most restaurants, bars etc., is very casual. You may want to bring some short sleeve shirts, light slacks, dresses etc., for the more formal places.
Are things like clothes, suits, dresses expensive in Phuket?
No, they are very inexpensive here. There are many tailors shops on the island that will make clothes especially for you, and at a fraction of the cost in Europe. T-Shirts, Shorts etc., are even cheaper still. They can be bought from the many Clothes Stalls, but remember to haggle on the price!
Is it cheap to eat out in Phuket?
Yes, it is normally very cheap in most places in Phuket. A nice meal can be bought for around 250 Baht, or even less if you buy from one of the many Food Stalls. Although now there are many more places opening up offering fine dinning. so you have a wide choice to select from.
How safe is Phuket?
Probably one of the most safest places in the world. You need have no fear at any time of the day or night.
What is the local currency there?
The currency here is Thai Baht, and there are around 40 to the Euro, 30 to the US Dollar, and 50 to the UK Pound.
What are the beaches like in Phuket, and are they safe?
Fantastic!! Near to us are three of the most beautiful beaches that you will find anywhere in the world. Fine white sand, warm clear water and they are safe most of the year. A Red Flag is flown when it is NOT safe.
Is there much to do in Phuket?
Yes, the list is endless! There are so many things that you can do here, it is not possible to list them all! They range from Elephant Trekking to Bungy Jumping......and everything else in between.
What is the Night Life like there?
If you like to party....this is the place for you! There is a very wide choice of bars and clubs here. So if you want to stay up all night, you can. At the same time, if you just want a quiet time...you can find that too.
How far are you from Phuket Airport?
We are around 40 minutes drive away. Kata is towards the South West of the island and the airport is in the North West.
What are the average temperatures in Phuket?
Usually the temperature averages between 28 - 32 Centigrade all year round. It can get even hotter in March and April.
